Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the distribution of 50,000 solar systems across Punjab as part of the Chief Minister RoshanGharana Program. During a review meeting on Solar home solutions, she outlined the plan to allocate a budget of Rs 12.6 billion for this initiative. The program aims to provide solar systems to 50,000 protected consumers who use up to 100 units of electricity monthly through balloting in Phase I. Additionally, the plan includes gradually extending home-based solar systems to other consumers in Punjab.
Each solar system will comprise advanced solar plates, inverters, batteries, and other necessary accessories. Madam Chief Minister emphasized the immediate implementation of one-kilowatt solar systems and stressed the adoption of the latest solar technology.

Provincial Information Minister AzmaZahidBukhari, Former Senator Pervaiz Rashid, MPA SaniaAshiq, along with the Chief Secretary, Chairman of P&D, Secretaries of Energy and Finance, Chief Executive Officer of PPDCL, and Managing Director of PPDB, were among the officials present at the meeting to discuss and coordinate the implementation of the program.
